The result will be this: |

1. This will be really simple shoes since the doll is so small, and her jeans covers most of the shoes. Anyway, I make a new layer and draw a dark sole with the pencil.
|
2. I make the sole a bit bigger by adding another line, but this time a little lighter.

3. Then I make a new layer and draw the rest of the shoe, you can make it in a totally new colour or use the darkest colour from the sole.
|
4. Now I pick the dodge-tool with a small (1 pixel) hard pencil, exposure 10%. I use it to lighten the light part of the sole a little more, especially in the front.

4. Then I pick the burn-tool and choose a 100% hard, 3 pixel brush. Exposure is 10%. I follow the outlines of the shoes to shade them, mostly where the shoes are covered by the pants.
|
5. So, I want some highlights to get a shiny look for the shoes. I use the dodge-tool and a 3 pixel brush for that. Exposure is about 15%. Make the highlights in the front, not exactly centered.

6. So, I didn't like the colour of the shoes so I did some hue- and saturation-adjustments in the end, by choosing Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation.
